Requirements or “How do I qualify for the site?”

In order to be included in the Internet encyclopaedia of present day authors and literary institutions in Nordrhein-Westfalen, the author must, as a rule, have had at least one “belletristic” work published (including audio books, film scripts and radio plays) and have either been born in, live in or have the main focus of their work in Nordrhein-Westfalen. In addition, the conditions of acceptance of the German Writer’s association (VS) apply in most cases. Literary institutions do not have to fulfil any special requirements. The important thing is that they are either a literary patron or archive, or whether they award prizes or grants or whether they, as a literary society, are devoted to a literary legacy. The Westfälisches Literaturbüro in Unna e.V. will have the final judgement in any borderline cases.

The data is subject to editing by the Westfälisches Literaturbüro in Unna e.V. (WLB). The information will appear on the internet sooner if the information is sent digitally, as it can be edited more easily and quickly. Data submitted is not automatically entitled to publication.

Inclusion in the Internet encyclopaedia of present day authors in Nordrhein-Westfalen does not cost anything. Thereafter, the WLB will be in touch with you at least once a year in order to bring the information up to date.

By sending your information  you accept the conditions above and at the same time give your permission for the publication of your portrait on the net and eventually in a potential printed version (also in CD-Rom format).
